Getting started

How do I join a game?

Ask whoever's running the game (the admin) for its join code -- a short code they generate when the game is about to start. Sign up or log in, then enter the code to join. Once you're in, you'll see everyone else who's joined too.

How do I create a game?

Sign up, tap "New game," pick a format, name it, and set an optional entry fee if your group is playing for a prize pot. You'll get a join code to share with your group however you already talk -- WhatsApp, a group chat, wherever. As admin, you then choose which real-world gameweek round 1 starts on and tap "Start the game" once everyone's joined.

Which game format should we play?

If your group wants a weekly knockout with drama, pick LMS Team or LMS Player. If you want one prediction that plays out over the whole season, pick Ultimate Prediction. If your group loves calling exact scorelines every week, pick Correct Score. If you already run a real FPL mini-league and just want automated tables/eliminations/payouts on top of it, pick Elimination Chamber, Gross League, Net League, or Proxy League -- see the "Two ways to play" section on the homepage for what each one does.

Last Man Standing (Team & Player)

How does LMS Team work?

Each round (a real Premier League gameweek), you pick one EPL team you think will win their fixture. If they win, you survive to the next round. If they draw or lose, you're eliminated. You can never pick the same team twice for the whole game, even if it won for you before -- so your options narrow as the season goes on.

How does LMS Player work?

Same shape as LMS Team, but sharper: each round you pick one player you think will score 5 or more FPL points that gameweek. Score 5+, you survive; anything less, you're eliminated. Like LMS Team, you can't reuse a player who's already scored 5+ for you. You can also set an optional backup pick for the same round -- if your main player doesn't play at all, your backup's score is used instead.

Can I see what everyone else picked?

Not until the deadline for that round has passed -- picks stay hidden from other players (and from you looking at theirs) until the first game of that gameweek kicks off. This stops anyone copying or reacting to someone else's pick.

What if everyone in the game happens to pick the same team or player?

If every remaining player independently lands on the exact same pick for a round, that pick is voided for everyone and the round replays with it off the table -- it stops one obvious "safe" pick from making a round meaningless.

What happens when it's down to the last few players?

Once the game reaches the last 2 or 3 players (the admin chooses which, when setting up the game), everyone remaining is asked: play on to a single winner, or agree to share the win? If even one person wants to keep playing, the game continues as normal. Only if everyone agrees does the pot (if there is one) get split evenly and the game ends there.

When exactly is the deadline?

The moment the first kickoff of that gameweek happens. Once it passes, that round's picks lock and become visible to everyone in the game.

Ultimate Prediction

How does Ultimate Prediction work?

Once, before the season effectively locks in for this purpose, everyone predicts which teams will finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 18th, 19th, and 20th in the real Premier League table. One prediction, no changes needed week to week -- it's scored automatically as the season plays out and the real table takes shape.

How is it scored?

Per position: get the exact spot right (e.g. you said Team X finishes 4th, and they do) and you get 3 points. Get the right group but wrong exact spot (you had them in the top 4, and they did finish top 4, just not in the exact position you called) and you get 1 point. Outside the group entirely, 0. Seven positions total, so the maximum possible score is 21.

Can I change my prediction after submitting?

Yes, any time before the prediction deadline. Once the deadline passes, it locks for the rest of the season.

Correct Score

How does Correct Score work?

Each gameweek, predict the final score of every Premier League fixture. Nail the exact scoreline and you get 3 points; get the right result (home win, away win, or draw) with the wrong score and you get 1 point; anything else is 0. No eliminations -- everyone keeps playing every gameweek.

What if I forget to submit for a gameweek?

No penalty -- you just score nothing for that gameweek and carry on as normal from the next one.

How are ties broken on the leaderboard?

By total points first, then by how many exact scores (Wins) you've called if points are level -- the game's about pinpointing scorelines, so more exact scores wins the tiebreak. Only a genuine tie on both points and wins shares the pot.

Does it run for one gameweek or the whole season?

The admin chooses at setup. Either way, deadlines are the same one-hour-before-kickoff rule every other weekly format in the app uses.

Elimination Chamber, Gross League, Net League & Proxy League

What do these four have in common?

All four are built for a group that already runs a real Fantasy Premier League mini-league and wants the admin work automated on top of it -- no in-app picks to make, just link your real FPL team (or the whole league) and let the app track it.

What's Elimination Chamber?

Link an existing FPL mini-league, and the app automatically eliminates whoever scored lowest each gameweek, using everyone's real FPL scores -- no manual tallying, no arguments about the numbers.

What's Gross League?

A running table of everyone's real gameweek scores, season total, and chip usage (Bench Boost, Triple Captain, etc). No eliminations -- just an always-up-to-date scoreboard for your league.

What's Net League?

Generates weekly, monthly, and end-of-season prize winners automatically from your real FPL mini-league's results -- built for a league that already plays for money and wants the payouts worked out for it.

What's Proxy League?

Lets a group combine 2 or 3 real FPL teams into one "owner" -- their net gameweek points get added together as a single combined score. Useful for households or pairs playing as a team within a bigger league.

Money & prize pots

Does Galacticos handle the money?

No, never. Galacticos tracks entry fees and prize pots (who's in, how much everyone put in, who won) purely as numbers on screen. Every actual payment happens directly between your group's own members, however you already settle up -- bank transfer, cash, whatever you'd normally use.

What currencies are supported?

Naira (₦), US Dollars ($), British Pounds (£), and Canadian Dollars (CA$). Picking a currency just changes the symbol shown -- there's no live conversion between them.

Data & scoring

Where do the scores and results come from?

Real Fantasy Premier League data, synced automatically. There's no manual entry involved -- once a real gameweek finishes, the app pulls the actual results and updates every table, elimination, and pot calculation on its own.

How often does data update?

The app checks for updates roughly every 15 minutes, so scores and standings stay current without anyone needing to refresh anything by hand.

Notifications

Does Galacticos remind me before a deadline?

Yes -- if you're in an LMS Team, LMS Player, Ultimate Prediction, or Correct Score game, you'll get an email roughly 2 hours before a deadline closes, showing exactly what you've currently got selected (or telling you plainly if you haven't picked yet) so you can double-check it before it locks. If you're in several games with deadlines landing around the same time, that's one email covering all of them, not a separate one for each.

I'm a game admin -- how do I know when results are final?

You'll get an email the moment a gameweek's results are confirmed final for any Gross League, Net League, Proxy League, or Elimination Chamber game you run -- so you know to check in without needing to keep refreshing the page yourself.

Do I need to turn something on for these?

Notifications work automatically for every account -- there's nothing to opt into for email alerts. Push notifications (the bell icon, for deadline nudges and elimination alerts) are a separate, optional extra you can enable from within the app if you'd like them too.

Account & privacy

What does Galacticos actually store about me?

Just the essentials: your login email, your display name, and the games/picks/predictions you make. No payment details are ever collected, since Galacticos never handles money. See the full Privacy Policy for the complete picture.

Is it free?

Yes -- creating and joining games is free. Any entry fee is something your own group sets and collects between yourselves, not a fee Galacticos charges.
